This 8-week challenge begins on January 8th 2022 and concludes on March 5th 2022. There will be a male and a female division. The challenge is TOTAL BODY FAT PERCENTAGE LOST. The commencement of the challenge includes:
An initial in-body scan to track beginning numbers. (You will have from Jan 3rd- Jan 8th to receive your initial scan)
The Army Combat Fitness Test. This test will take place on Saturday, January 8th as that days workout. Details of the test can be found at https://www.army.mil/acft/ . (there will be modifications made to this test for male/female divisions.) If you can’t make it January 8th, you can complete the test during the week of Jan 10th- Jan 14th. *You must have someone count for you.*
THRoughout the 8 weeks, athletes will have access to the same scale used for the in-body scan for symmetrical readings. It is highly encouraged that athletes weigh in 2 times a week (Monday & Friday) in the same format every time. (If you weigh in at 5 am on an empty stomach, do that every time you weigh in).
Sign up for 1 of the 2 nutrition coaching options under our Nutrition Program and receive a free entry into the challenge (With this option, please fill out the information at the bottom of the MAIN page and Coach Hunter will reach out to you directly to begin communication about the plan you would like to choose.)
What’s the difference? If you sign up for the challenge ONLY, you begin on January 8th and run through the entire 8-week challenge on your own. If you choose one of the Nutrition Program options, you get direct 1-on-1 access with our nutrition coach who will help develop a plan and focus on keeping you on track for the challenge and the duration of the program. More details are available in the link above.
To conclude the challenge on Saturday, March 5th, athletes will perform both:
A final in-body scan to track ending numbers. (You will have from Feb 28th- March 5th to receive your final scan) Keep in mind the later you perform your final scan, the more time you have to drop BF%.
The Army Combat Fitness Test. This will be the same exact test performed on January 8th. This re-test has 2 objectives: show you how much your fitness has improved with improved nutrition, and combined with your score of the initial test to create a tiebreaker for athletes with the same BF% lost in the 8-week span. If you can’t make it, Saturday, March 5th, you must complete the test the week before between Feb 28th- March 4th. *You must have someone count for you.*
Both attempts at the Fitness Test will have minimum-maximum scores for both divisions. The final result of the 2 tests will be a combined average to ensure athletes try their best on both attempts.
There will be 1 male, & 1 female winner for the challenge. If any two same sex athletes lose the same amount of BF% at the end of the 8 weeks, the better score of the Fitness Test will deem the winner of that division.
